VodaIdea (VIL) Board meeting on 31st May (Fri) to consider 4QFY25 results; more importantly Board to consider proposals for raising of funds via rights issue, FPO, private placement etc via issue of equity shares and/or debt

The above fund raise proposal comes after SC rejected VIL’s AGR waiver petition as says the petition is shocking and deems it misconceived given SC had earlier dismissed AGR review petition. The SC verdict could have meant further delay to VIL’s Rs250bn bank funding and hence could have impacted VIL’s 3 year capex plan of Rs500-550bn and hurt its business revival plans in terms of arresting subscriber decline and growing in-line with industry.

Earlier during Apr 2024 VIL had raised equity of Rs180bn via FPO at Rs11/share

Earlier in May 2019 VIL had raised equity of Rs250bn via Rights issue at Rs12.5/share
